What did the advertising consist of please, Adam ?
It was shown in both the Malvern area and Upton area timetables, which have been in circulation for several weeks now. Almost all of the passengers boarded the bus in those areas, with only two from Ledbury. The new Ledbury area (Village Links) timetable has a only been in circulation for a few days, so people haven’t had a chance to see it yet.
Thanks Adam -- I keep on forgetting that when timetable booklets are placed in certain key locations, they can help to get extra customers on new services.

The front cover design that First is using for it's booklets is "spot-on" for attracting the attention of the people "browsing", I think.

I didn't work it. My son had the turn allocated to him but decided he didn't want to swap with me, and instead he gave it to Judith as she had a better turn to offer him in return!

Very. Only 4 return journeys have been operated so far (due to one Monday being a Bank Holiday) and each one has carried over 20 passengers on the outbound journey.

Does that mean that there are around 80 people wandering around Cheltenham trying to find their bus back home?

...... There you are Adam, - I told you the 481 would need a double-decker :D

.... Meanwhile, the first outbound 17.15 journey of the 418 to Ledbury only had one passenger ( - ME !! )
I assume that the fruit pickers wont be employed for a while, and that there will be a late harvest this year (?)

I was ably-driven by Mick Mansfield, who is so old that he actually drove the REAL DD12s (6012-14) in Hereford when he (and they), (and I), were quite young !

The ticket machine on my steed (33401) could not scan/ read my "County day ticket," - in either direction, which is a shame.

The big upstairs windows of the Trident gave a better view of the lovely green countryside than a StreetDeck !

Maybe not Cheltenham, but it seems some are using it for a one-way trip to Tewkesbury.

I ran the morning journey on the second saturday of the 418. I carried 21 in to Worcester, and there were an additional 12 on Mr Mansfield's 417 in front of me. Not huge numbers, and less than half the amount we were squeezing in to a single Volvo Centro last year, but then it's still quite early in the season... Wait until September!
