Not the ones mentioned above, but Nigel did post elsewhere that 53061/2 will be repainted soon.
That may mean that we could possibly see some colourful citaros if they are not being repainted straight away!

Update from local management:

Two 14 plate Solos have been earmarked for Worcester, and these are to be repainted in a new Service 31 livery. 56065 (and one other) are expected to be repainted before entering service, in Urban livery.

The Citaros are due soon, and will be delivered to Worcester before being sent to Thorntons for refurbishment. The manager is in favour of a "heritage" livery for one, but thought that Midland Red West red and cream livery was his preference over Severnlink NBC colours. We'll have to see what the MD thinks!

Additionally, the Darts are to go to First Cymru for spares - and 6015 needs to be completed by mid October for an event which features both BammoT and First Worcester.

That is fantastic news! The 14 plate Solos that come to mind are the batch of 14 over at Hampshire & Dorset. So presumably it will be two of those? Certainly an upgrade from the older solos as these will have the leather seats like the StreetLites. :D

I would like to think that 53207 & 53802 will both be retained along with 53065 given the fact they are recent repaints & are also both fitted with seatbelts which are required for the school journey on Village Links. ;)

I don't know about "completed", bmmoboy - because the September newsletter from the museum repeats October 2020 as the target for this, so please let us know if you find-out anything more !
Maybe our Wythall friend - 943KHA - can clarify some of the above ?

As others have said this is fantastic news for Worcester. It seems to show that First do actually care about Worcester as an operation by moving newer vehicles in, and I hope that means it further diminishes the chances of a Diamond takeover ;)

Be nice to get a photo shoot of the Citaro with Preserved National 658 or Lynx 1142 at some stage in the future. The owners don’t take them out much so we’d probably have to wait a few years for that to be possible but would be a nice sight. Maybe possible at a Wythall event eventually.

The main event at Wythall in October is a WMPTE 50 based one so not sure if that target is October 2019

I hope that there is an error re the dates for a Midland Red event at Wythall! This year's October event is 50 years of WMPTE (and you could say that was partly responsible for the demise of Midland Red??) and next year is another celebration of Midland Red, for which we hope that 6015 will be one of the stars of the show, thanks to the untiring efforts of those at WR. I've certainly delivered enough spares there in recent weeks and I'm sure there will be more to come. The Alexander body style for the D11 - D13 types was one of the best for a bus in a box, dare I say even more attractive than the D10......

What are the chances of the D10 being operational for next year? We are hoping that red "Wulf" 970 will be operational too. Would be great to get them together....
