Monday 29 May 2017 Part Two at Transport Museum, Wythall

CFK 340 is an AEC Regal III with Burlingham C33F bodywork new 05/48 to Burnham's Coaches, Worcester. It has a 7.7 litre engine and ran very well despite the torrential rain and flash floods.

NTU 125 is a Foden PVRF6 with Metalcraft C41C bodywork new 05/51 to Hollinshead Coaches, Scholar Green. It is powered by a rear mounted Foden 4.1 litre 6 cylinder two-stroke engine which makes a unique sound - once heard never forgotten! Everton's Coaches of Droitwich ran a similar coach for a couple of years and it intrigued me (especially the noise) as a very young enthusiast, it has taken a wait of over 60 years to have the opportunity of riding in such a rare vehicle.

FV 4548 is a beautifully restored veteran AEC Regal with English Electric C18R bodywork. Note the roof mounted luggage carrier. The coach was new to Standerwick 03/34 with Strachans bodywork and received the body (built in 05/34) shown in 12/48. Internally it has two and one seating with some seats arranged around tables with period lamps, so very much like a Pullman railway carriage. It would probably be petrol powered when new, but as far as I can tell it was fitted with a 7.7 Litre diesel engine at some time in it 83 year career. Superb motor, many thanks to the owner for allowing a lucky few enthusiasts the privilege of travelling in it.
