I took the train to Hanborough today and had a few hours at The Oxford Bus Museum and enjoyed their New Year's Day Vintage Running Day. Here are some photos;

In the second shot it is seen in the company of PNM 757M a Bedford YRQ with Plaxton C45F coachwork new 03/74 to Eayrs, Goldington. 956 AJO an AEC Regent V with Park Royal H33/26R bodywork new 04/57 to City of Oxford as 956. 756 KFC an AEC Reliance 2MU3RV with Park Royal B44F bodywork new 10/60 to City of Oxford as 756 is seen alongside EUD 256K an AEC Reliance 6MU4R with Plaxton 'Derwent' B47F bodywork new 03/72 to Chiltern Queens, Woodcote. 304 KFC a Dennis Loline with East Lancs H35/28F bodywork new 06/61 to City of Oxford as 304. 477 CLT an AEC Routemaster with Park Royal H32/25RD new 10/62 to London Transport as RMC1477. BM 2856 a Commer (Commercial Cars, Luton) WP3 with Commer B15F bodywork new in 1913 to Lord Lonsdale for use on a large estate. Note the chain drive to be kept oily! This bus made a trip around the Museum site, so is fully mobile. I may be wrong, but the chassis with ancient wheels and solid tyres may be a Daimler Y Type which was new in 1917 to City of Oxford Electric Tramways. OVS 908 is a beautifully restored 1937 Singer Super 9 four door saloon. It has an OHV 1 litre engine which gives a top speed of 60 MPH given a long level straight road. It also has hydraulic brakes.
