bah humbug!

Once again 67664 will be running a Santa Bus Service, but unlike last year it will not be touring the depots. A notice on the canteen wall has asked for volunteer Santas from 18th December so I'm guessing that's when the service starts. There will be no fairy lights on the outside of the bus this year as Worcester depot currently lacks a vehicles electrician...

Seen tonight...

Good news... Someone realised the 3-pin plug for the ticket machine is no longer used as they now take power from the real-time system, so they have used that for the fairy lights!

The body damage to the bottom N/S corner will be repaired before it goes back into service.

With all the expensive vinyls and electrical work carried out on 67664 I wonder if it has been fitted with a new crown wheel and pinion? If, as I suspect, that it has not I reckon Father Christmas and his Elves will need earplugs to comply with Health and Safety and the decibel levels from that noisy back axle, otherwise it will be "Grumble bells, grumble bells, grumble all the way!" (with a few choice expletives thrown in). Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas indeed!
