This batch of photographs is of buses which operated in the Birmingham, Walsall and West Midlands County areas. Thanks again to all the volunteers at Wythall for organising another excellent event.

As one of those who was there virtually from day One and going through all of those photographs I am amazed at how much was achieved in those early days. The very second hand caravan that served as our mess room for those first years (and occasional overnight dosshouse) was very much a health and safety nightmare, how any of us avoided food poisoning is amazing. 5923 served as our first cafe when we opened to the public and was later broken up; it had a very poor condition body when bought straight out of service and wobbled nicely all the way back to Wythall. Nice to see pictures of my 'turd' brown Marina EBF398T, it certainly didn't survive into preservation.

Amazing pictures, I reckon that the general public and many enthusiasts tend to look at the exhibition halls, cafe and all the hard standing within the museum site as being there from the beginning. It came as a shock to me that the founder members started with a wilderness and turned it into the well organised Museum with the very popular event days we now appreciate. Perhaps the history of BaMMOT and all the work involved in creating the site is worthy of a prominent display in the main hall?
