Ford 6341

Post by Wye Bucks » 21:23 Friday 23rd September 2016

Just found out today that Ex Midland Red Ford R192 6341 YHA341J is for sale. For many years she's been used as a café but despite this appears to be fairly original and apparently runs. Anyone interested in what is probably the last opportunity to preserve an example of what was probably Midland Red's least popular bus.

I have been looking through some information gleaned over the years whilst compiling the last two fleetlists and found a bit more information and dates relating to owners after withdrawal by Midland Red.

This bus was new to Shrewsbury garage 12/70, Withdrawn 04/80. Sold to Beeston, Hadleigh 08/80, then sold on 07/88 and converted to roadside cafe on the A604 at Earls Colne 08/88. Has it been at the same site all these years? If so it has paid for itself many times over!
