Yes, - even the bus paradise of Gloucestershire is suffering !

I would love WR to pick-up some interesting work (WITH the necessary higher subsidies) but I expect finding and keeping enough drivers ( - even for our existing network) would not be possible !!

All of the cut routes have - with the aid of Council Subsidies - been making a modest amount of money Stagecoach. The contracts are being surrendered due to staff shortages. GCC have invited other operators to bid for them, but so far the uptake has been slow because other local operators are suffering the same staff shortages as everyone else.

Bus and Coach Buyer report that Newport Buses will be operating two routes in Chepstow and Lydney.

Correct. Their Service C4 will replace the 761 Chepstow to Beachley route with a slightly altered route, and their Service 72 will replace the Chepstow to Lydney section of the 24. Times are unchanged.
