The Green Bus

Post by theshadow » 17:39 Friday 19th July 2019

Good Evening All,

I hope the Mods don't mind me posting this here, Im sure First Group and Diamond are doing their own trips alongside other operators,

I'm happy to say The Green Bus will be attending this year's Buses Festival at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon on Sunday 18th August and will be running two routes for those wishing to attend; please see below for the initial itinerary.

The vehicles we intend to use are 365 / R365 LGH (open-top Volvo Olympian) and 395 / V95 MOA (Volvo B7TL). The vehicles will swap routes for the return journey, allowing everyone a ride on both vehicles.

The routes are as follows:

ROUTE 1

0700 - The Green Bus Depot, Hockley

0720 - Birmingham City Centre, Station St (Stop NS13)

0735 - Selly Oak, Bristol Rd

0745 - Northfield, Bristol Rd S

0755 - West Heath, Man on the Moon

0810 - Alvechurch

0825 - Redditch

0835 - Studley

0930 - Buses Festival, Gaydon

ROUTE 2

0700 - Wolverhampton, Pipers Row

0725 - Walsall, Hatherton Rd

0745 - Perry Barr, One Stop

0805 - Birmingham City Centre, Station St (Stop NS13)

0820 - Kings Heath, High St

0840 - Wythall

0930 - Buses Festival, Gaydon

** Both routes will depart Gaydon at approx 1600 **

Pickup points are flexible depending on demand. Please feel free to suggest a location - we may move stops round once we have an idea of where people wish to board. The final itinerary will be posted shortly before the day, once pickups are confirmed.

The fare for return travel is only £5, please note entry to the event is not included. Payment can either be made over the phone to The Green Bus (please call 0121 401 1666) or you can pay cash on the day.

To book your place please message either myself or jc, stating your route and pickup point; alternatively you can book over the phone. Please make sure you stick to this as if no one has requested a stop we will not go there!

Hope to see some of you on the 18th.

The Greenbus along with a number of other operators are taking "ex- London" buses into stock. Two such vehicles - E400's LJ09CDF / CEN [both still in red livery] were noted on school runs in Bromsgrove just before five pm yesterday. The morning journeys are at 7am and 7.20 am , a little early for me ! ;)
