GWR 7029 'Clun Castle' in action.
Today, Saturday 25 September 2021, saw immaculate GWR 4-6-0 7029 'Clun Castle' working through Worcester Shrub Hill hauling the Vintage Trains charter from Tyseley to Swindon via Snow Hill, Kidderminster, Worcester and Cheltenham. After a four hour layover it will work back from Swindon via Oxford and Leamington to Tyseley and Snow Hill.
Earlier in the morning a pair of Class 50s, 50007 'Hercules' and 50049 'Defiance', passed through Shrub Hill from the Severn Valley Railway to Gloucester where they were booked to take over the Pathfinder Champion Torbay Express charter from Eastleigh to Kingswear via Gloucester.
166212 is pictured working the 08-54 Worcester Foregate Street to Cardiff train past 172002 resting in the centre line stabling point awaiting its turn on the 09-49 Shrub Hill to New Street service.
66003 is seen working a loaded steel train from Margam to Round Oak.

Brilliant mate, a good mornings work there!
I was away for the 50s' trip to Penzance last weekend but we've got the Blue Pullman HST down today so I might go out later if the weather improves.

Thanks Matt, hope you managed to see the Blue Pullman HST it looks stunning in that livery - wish GWR had used something similar, or traditional 'Chocolate and Cream', instead of dull dark green with black relief!
I forgot to put this shot of 47773 bringing up the rear of yesterday's SLS Special. Incidentally I was impressed by the crew working 7029 'Clun Castle', at no point did they have the safety valves blowing off and managed to run without any dirty black smoke - if you look at all the pictures just white steam from the exhaust. This locomotive sounded really good pulling away from Shrub Hill, no slipping just a deep loud bark which increased in volume when the regulator was opened up once the train was under way.
It is working through Worcester again next Saturday morning 2 October 2021 on its way to Cardiff, as per attached link to Realtime Trains live website;

Re: GWR 7029 'Clun Castle' in action.
I certainly did mate - 0nly problem was I was getting ready to take an arty shot of it reflected in the nearside mirror of my (parked) van, when it came by 5 minutes early....., so I got bugger all! Looks great though.

Here are a few shots taken today, Saturday 2 October 2021, of 7029 'Clun Castle' working the Vintage Trains 'Return to Steam 50th Anniversary' charter from Tyseley to Cardiff via Worcester Shrub Hill. 47773 was once again on the rear and will pull the train into Cardiff Central after turning on the triangle at Park Junction just west of Newport station, allowing 7029 to make the return journey via Swindon and Leamington to Snow Hill; 66084 working the Round Oak to Margam steel empties train; An air ambulance helicopter circling low over Shrub Hill, preparing to land near to The Gun Tavern in Newtown Road at a reported shooting incident;TimBrown wrote: ↑09:15 Sunday 26th September 2021
