Thursday 17 August 2017 37884 is seen hauling a pair of 4 car EMUs from Bedford to Long Marston for storage. I am led to believe that at least 30 of these units are in store pending the next stage in their careers - a new TOC or perhaps a source of spares for the ones still in service?

On the same afternoon a Bridgwater to Crewe nuclear waste flask train passed through Worcester yard with 68003 'Astute' and almost new unnamed 68027 in charge.

Finally on Wednesday 30 August 2017 a cavalcade of heritage diesel locomotives passed through Worcester yard en route from The Severn Valley Railway to Old Oak Common depot in London for the Open Day on saturday 2 September 2017. Locomotives in order are diesel-electric 50049 'Defiance', 50007 'Hercules', 50044 'Exeter', 50035 'Ark Royal' and last, but by no means least, is diesel hydraulic D1015 'Western Champion'
