Some pictures of 'new' D train 230009 (reworked London Underground stock for Wrexham to Bidston line) making a test run from Long Marston to Stourbridge on Saturday morning 28 November 2020. These workings normally run through the yard to the East of Shrub Hill station, but today the train ran into platform 1 and stood for nearly 15 minutes waiting a path North, giving me a chance to take a few close-up shots. The weather was wet with mist and very low light levels so some photos are somewhat fuzzy - that's my excuse anyway!
230009 has been working on trial for some weeks now between Vivarail, the manufacturer's Long Marston site, Worcester and Stourbridge. The attached shots take at Worcester Shrub Hill on Saturday 12 December 2020.Panorama of Shrub Hill taken from South end of platform 2. 166217 arriving at Shrub Hill on a service from Warminster bound for Great Malvern.
