Sunday, 23rd February seems to be the new opening day for Worcestershire Parkway station. We'll see!

I suppose now that the council have gone public and published the opening date, the pressure is on to actually deliver!

On a separate note, has anybody heard anything about another bus service other than the X50 serving the station? I certainly haven't and nor have any of the new ticket office staff there.

Yes, there will be eight brand new electric buses under the Boris £5 billion zero emissions scheme and they will run extended 32 and 45 services to the Parkway from 05-30 am until midnight every day of the week - or was I day-dreaming?

Perhaps it would be a good idea if somebody was to officially announce exactly how prospective rail passengers can get to and from the new station!

The best bet would be to catch a train from Evesham, Pershore, Shrub Hill, Foregate Street or Malvern unless you fancy risking a long bike ride or walk across numerous busy junctions with cars whizzing about at supersonic speed! Are there any street lights from Whittington to Parkway?

Sadly, mention of a bus route is in the singular, which probably refers to the infrequent X50 Worcester to Evesham service which is not timetabled to call at the station 'transport interchange'

Nothing has been officially announced about car parking charges, but a reliable source said that all day parking expected to be £8 and off peak parking £5 for the day. No doubt commuters will have the option to purchase monthly and annual parking season tickets. Public transport in this area is not cheap!

Looks like the X50 will call in Parkway from Monday... I’m not sure that’s such a good idea for established users of the X50, so the service may suffer.
