7029 'Clun Castle' at Shrub Hill 18 May 2019.

Tyseley's immaculately presented 7029 'Clun Castle' at Worcester Shrub Hill this morning working The Cotswold Explorer from Birmingham Moor Street to Oxford via Cheltenham and Swindon. It is booked to return this evening via Evesham. The driver of this engine made an excellent start and accelerated the train rapidly up the grade towards Norton Junction with a very satisfying loud exhaust bark from the double chimney.

Thank you all for some fine pictures of a superb engine. I'm booked on a charter next weekend with Clun Castle which takes in the Marches Line including a longish break in Hereford. The only trouble with actually travelling on trains like this is that you can't really see much of them in action so pictures such as these are particularly welcome.

Here is a link to video of 7029 'Clun Castle' working the charter on 18 May 2019, including the departure from Shrub Hill in the morning;

Thanks for posting the video, Tim. I particularly like the shots in the Shrub Hill area with the semaphore signals still in use.
