About 4 or 5 years ago, on a quiet weekday, I was sat at the back (outside) of the King and Castle "pub" at the Severn Valley station, where my brother and I were seeing-off some Bathams bitter, and 60019 Bittern crept in so quietly we almost didn't notice it ! -
- I'm sure it was BLUE though (?)

A few years ago there was a gathering at the NRM York of the six A4 class locomotives. I was fortunate to be able to visit the NRM whilst they were on display. I particularly wanted to see the two that were shipped here from the Americas. Dwight D Eisenhower is from Green Bay, Wisconsin and many of my friends there have seen it so I was able to say - so have I! Similarly Dominion of Canada has been seen by my Canadian friends. The NRM did some superficial restoration of these locos (D of C was pretty shabby) and both got a nice repaint.
There are lots of photos of this event on the web.
