Some action today, Wednesday 22 February 2023, at Worcester Shrub Hill with 37800 stabled in the middle siding acting as a 'Thunderbird' rescue locomotive, a precautionary measure for the main line foray of the Hydrogen test unit 799201 which ran into Shrub Hill from Long Marston. Note the the shot of 799201 with with steam issuing from the power car, then a picture of new 196106 passing by Platform 1A on crew training duty.

Ah , so that was what was on 5Q98 and 5Q99 on the RTT site earlier. It was booked to travel as far as Barnt Green and back so I popped down to Bromsgrove Station this morning to see what appeared - especially as it suggested that the north bound working was a locomotive and "empty non-passenger stock" and the south bound was said to be a D-train / Class 230 !!
