Heritage Diesel Cavalcade 10 May 2022

Post by TimBrown » 15:50 Tuesday 10th May 2022

It was a tight schedule today Tuesday 10 May 2022 on my way to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for an X-ray, but I managed to take these photographs at Shrub Hill of a heritage diesel cavalcade with 33012 'Lt. Jenny Lewis' hauling 31128 'Charybdis', 37703, D4 (44004) 'Great Gable', and D182 (46045) between Eastleigh and the Severn Valley Railway.

Also took a shot of this small cast inspection cover with GWR lettering which can be found on platform 1 at Shrub Hill station near the foot of the stairs for the overbridge to access platform 2.

Thanks for the photo's. It looks like the SVR gala will be the place to be. The GWR and no doubt other railway companies were well known for putting their "stamp" on almost everything they owned. I have even seen initials on wooden chairs. :)
