There will be a few revisions to First's services in the Malvern area starting on 4th June 2017.

The main one being the start of the summer season working of Service 44B (Saturdays only) to Wyche Cutting, British Camp and Ledbury which will replace one Service 44C journey each hour.

There are also some route changes in Great Malvern... All Service 44 journeys will run via Avenue Road (for Great Malvern Railway Station) over the current Service 44D route. This will make the 44D route number redundant so that will no longer be used.

Service 44C will run via Barnards Green Road, not Avenue Road, and will continue past Graham Road to Link Top. The return journey will run via Great Malvern (Foley Arms) and Church Street, so the main stop in Church Street will now be served every 10-minutes when inter-worked with Service 44. Obviously this means Victoria Road and the Police Station will no longer have a bus, but these two stops are rarely used.

A new timetable book for these services is in production and should be available in a few weeks.

Despite having taken rides on the StreetDecks and StreetLites, I still haven't studied or memorised details of the Malvern services, so I need to ask -

- will the DDs now go up or down Avenue Road ?

That's the plan.

One thing about trees though is they have a habit of growing...

Excellent !
Now that the StreetDecks are no longer new, a few "grooves" in the appropriate panels will be less upsetting !

Also, their upper front corners look reasonably tough !

(I might not sit on the nearside though, - just in case !)

(I would like to add that I find it surprising that there isn't a weight limit along the Jubilee Drive section !)

Advertising for the 4th June changes to the Malvern services is now being displayed on buses, although this does not mention the 44B.

Just don't watch The Italian Job before riding on this service!

Is the 44B on a Saturday to Ledbury DD operated?

Not normally, as there are a lot of low trees along Jubilee Drive, some so low that I hit one with a single decker today.
