Re: 144 Route.
Saw 33402 on a 144 yesterday.First time I've seen a DD operating a 144 on a Sunday. Can only think it was because Worcester Warriors were at home and were expecting increased loadings.

.... and possibly because of Xmas shoppers (I HOPE) ?SEVERNLINK wrote: ↑15:33 Monday 5th December 2016Saw 33402 on a 144 yesterday.First time I've seen a DD operating a 144 on a Sunday. Can only think it was because Worcester Warriors were at home and were expecting increased loadings.
I've been meaning to ask on here, if any of our drivers have been seeing over-loaded single-deckers on the 144, this last few weeks (?)
P.S. - I like your "moniker" Severnlink - I think the graphics or font (?), are better than those the National Bus Company used !
Re: 144 Route.
I think the 144 was probably interworked with the Rugby services and therefore used the same vehicle.

Re: 144 Route.
My initial thought was Xmas shoppers then heard the Rugby result later in the evening so thought it was probably for that.It was the 10:05 Worcester-Brum.DD12 wrote: ↑21:05 Monday 5th December 2016.... and possibly because of Xmas shoppers (I HOPE) ?SEVERNLINK wrote: ↑15:33 Monday 5th December 2016Saw 33402 on a 144 yesterday.First time I've seen a DD operating a 144 on a Sunday. Can only think it was because Worcester Warriors were at home and were expecting increased loadings.

Re: 144 Route.
In that case it's not an exact match as I used the nearest font I could find at the time!
Re: 144 Route.
I ran the 17:15 Service 144 tonight and I was amazed how quiet it was on the return journey... 1 passenger from Birmingham to Rubery, empty to Bromsgrove, then 1 from Bromsgrove to Fernhill Heath and 1 from Droitwich to Worcester.
Where were they all hiding?
Where were they all hiding?
Re: 144 Route.
I used to love those quiet trips, especially with something with some decent go. Open up from Stoke Heath roundabout to Webbs, don't brake until you're level with the truckstop, blip the throttle with your heel as she's coming down the 'box and power on through. They don't put bread on the table though!
Re: 144 Route.
You really need to buy something better than a Ford if you have to get your speed kicks from driving a bus!
Re: 144 Route.
I seriously hope that that was a VERY rare "statistical fluke" , and that the workings before and after were well loaded !AdamH wrote: ↑22:04 Tuesday 6th December 2016I ran the 17:15 Service 144 tonight and I was amazed how quiet it was on the return journey... 1 passenger from Birmingham to Rubery, empty to Bromsgrove, then 1 from Bromsgrove to Fernhill Heath and 1 from Droitwich to Worcester.

..... That news is also the exact opposite of what I had hoped to hear !
