Very tempted to take a ride out there on my day off... Been almost every day for the last three years but never had a look around. Just hope I don't end up having to teach the driver the route! 😒

One Leicester StreetDeck was at the garage earlier, ready for the X99 etc, which starts tomorrow. ( I couldn't see the fleet number).
Don't know how many we will borrow this year, but as 35159 is off the road, we might get another one same as last year, to cover tomorrow and Friday at least.

This is where BusTimes.org comes in handy again!

Looking at Leicester's Fleet List - it suggests that all StreeDecks were out in service today - but one of them was only traced up until 08:14 this morning, suggesting it was pulled out of service at the earliest opportunity (to be sent to Worcester?). The vehicle being 35189. :D

That's intriguing willr7 ! (your brain works well !)

We will have to check tomorrow to see if something similar happens !

Well, tomorrow has arrived, but I have not seen any further Leicester 'deckers, and looking at the tracking system this afternoon, we appear to have enough DDs (just) !

-- You were right willr7, 35189 is here, and has been used on the 32/37, and 363/365.

-- I got a nice "nostalgic buzz" seeing this Leicester bus in service in Barbourne, where in my youth, I would quite often see "transfers" from around the MIDLAND RED empire !

I’m riding out to Hay with Driver Mansfield at the moment. The bus is 35159... first day back with its new engine.

Have a nice day Adam ! -- -- I hope the engine has been run-in properly for getting-up Fromes Hill on the way back !

Dont forget if it's peeing-it-down with rain, the Blue Boar is "quite decent", but the timetable back to Worcester only allows 2 minutes at Hereford rail station if you need a pee (as I found-out last year) !!!

Yes, it’s raining. Yes, had lunch in the Blue Boar. Food was very good. Saw the ex-Worcester Solos and Vario 506 still in service. Now heading home on 35157 with my replacement at the wheel!
