Did they not think to do the review before the cuts?

Tomorrow's the day. Plenty of publicity on Upton, but rather a lack of reaction on the Fifties. Perhaps it may come after the event. Anyway, there have been slight changes to the 564/565 service for Eckington, Birlingham, Wyre and Lower Moor.

These are extracts. As all journeys start and finish in Evesham, these are useful. Nothing for Fladbury, Cropthorne Green or Charlton. Found these on the Vale Public Transport Group website, http://vptg.btck.co.uk/

...I have a 373 later so I’ll be saying goodbye to the Graftons for the last time!
Or maybe not. I have now discovered the Council are paying for certain Service 363 journeys to run via The Graftons. Oh joy! 😒

I would say that we now have a very efficient, core commercial operation at FMR, featuring just a very few subsidised journeys in Worcestershire, PLUS the East Herefordshire services, and I'll be very interested to see how many buses we have after the dust has settled (and imminent vehicles are in + out).

I also hope that eventually we (on the forum) can have an updated Mon-Fri bus graph ( - "pretty-please", Adam :D )

Thanks very much Noggin for the info / links --
AND, a "grand bit of last-minuteism" by the C.Council !! -- nothing at all in the changes section of their website yet !!

I am very interested that ASTONS are going to be doing this work.

On my early morning walk today I witnessed the result of withdrawing the 06-40 service 37 from Green Lane to Crowngate and one of the regular passengers setting out at 06-15 to walk the two and a half miles into the City to catch their train from Foregate Street to University station near Selly Oak. This person has been a regular passenger for at least five years to my knowledge and I wonder just how many other regulars around the truncated First bus Worcester network have been inconvenienced by the heavy cuts in latest timetable changes and ponder the wisdom of HM Government in refusing to finance local authorities and bring back some sanity to the less profitable essential bus services, especially those in remote areas.

Meanwhile Fred 'the shred' Goodwin ex CEO of RBS Bank, responsible for the toxic loan disgrace of 2008 which cost the taxpayer £45 BILLION in bail-outs and led to the harsh austerity cuts we all still experience, is reportedly enjoying the fruits of a £17 MILLION pension pot.

Makes you proud to be British doesn't it?

I was very surprised today, to see on the First website, a further change to the 363 from September 30th !!
If my reading is correct, the (mon-fri) 10.55 from Upton to Worcester is replaced by one at 11.30.

However, it appears to be the 363 that still arrives at Ryall at 10.50, same as now, but it will then go as a 363 as far as Panes Garage "only".

It looks POSSIBLE to me that it will allow the driver a half-hour break on the Hanley Road car and lorry park before doing the 11.30.

IF my "guess" is right, - has this ever been done before at Upton ? ( - Adam ?) ??
