...I have a 373 later so I’ll be saying goodbye to the Graftons for the last time!
Or maybe not. I have now discovered the Council are paying for certain Service 363 journeys to run via The Graftons. Oh joy! 😒
Can a double-decker be used on the Graftons section Adam ??

(IE regardless of how few passengers !)

Probably. But why would you want to?

I want FMR to be able to use their DDs in as many places as possible --

I would not like it, IF, during a future reorganisation of the Upton area services, a county councillor wanted to provide a subsidy for a ROUTE that prevented the use of a DD which happened to be in the right place at the right time, like before or after a school run.

-- I'm looking forward to riding on the 15.00 363 from Worcester, which is a DD again, ( - that's before it goes on to do the 365 school run).

Also, I want FMR to be able to put a DD on as many services as possible when there is a shortage of available single-deckers.

I would like to see more double deckers in use - perhaps you can persuade Network Rail to raise the bridges at The Chequers, Tolladine Road and Newtown Road, your wish might come true.

Apparently, the city council wants to redevelop the Shrub Hill area (including the bus depot), and bearing in mind the problems with the existing roads already, a serious revelopment of the roads and bridges would seem to be essential, - but VERY expensive !

I'm just grateful that two county councillors wanted to provide a subsidy on the Upton services. Adam was quite right when he told me earlier that what seemed to me totally inconsistent provision of subsidised services in different parts of Worcestershire was due to individual county councillors. The August minutes of the Vale Public Transport Group state that "Letters had been written to a number of county councillors as well as officials. These had been met with silence with no offer to meet."

So that explains the Fifties situation.

Here's a bit more !

I am suspicious of this review. Quote: '...a report which will no doubt play a huge part in the council’s bus review as well as shape budget discussions in the next few years as senior councillors look to tackle a projected £17.9 million overspend for 2018/19. '
I hope I'm wrong. I don't get the impression that there will be new cuts (Upton notwithstanding) from First. Diamond, I don't know.

The trouble is they forget they're OUR servants, not the other way around!
