"along the Salt Road" !

Post by DD12 » 19:16 Friday 1st June 2018

On First's website now, is the announcement of long awaited branding for the 144/144A - - …… "along the Salt Road" !

Definitely likely - (with the green livery), - to attract attention !!

Vehicles will get the branding over this weekend. Unfortunately due an office reshuffle at Padmore Street I will not be getting access to any of the vehicles or launch events, so you guys are on your own for photos... Let’s see who can be the first to post one on here!!

I'm pleased to see that the launch events are in town and city centres where there should be maximum footfall (to use a modern phrase).

I hope the 144 timetable will make it onto the "salt road" web page to complete the new look, but otherwise it all looks good! I wish everyone involved well with this exercise.

I only saw two in the full dress livery this morning with several in denuded plain livery without any vinyls other than fleet numbers and legal lettering. The light levels a bit low today, but the following shots give an idea of those seen, and what for me was the unexpected red plume on the centurion's helmet!
These pictures taken in and around Crowngate bus station;

Not a green Volvo, but an Enviro 300 working 144 along Saltway.

Finally, a shot of 69454 in bright sunlight working 144A through Barbourne on Friday 2 June 2018.

…. I see some poor soul on twitter is asking First where the new timetable is (?) !!
-- it's very unusual for it not be under the heading "Forthcoming Timetables" by now ! :?:
