The one photographed didn't last for very long after the photograph was taken. However, I do have another one!

New bus stops, now being fitted on the 144 route, but not in the TFWM (Centro) area.

;)

I like the stop flags. Was coming down past Chateau Impney on Wednesday afternoon and saw a green machine but sadly still only half-dressed

Q1 ! - Are the vehicles going to show 144/ 144A ??
- I ask as the route numbers are absent from "everything else" so far.

Q2 - What (if anything) has been done to improve reliability ? (apart from the further-revised timings, that is) --
I don't know how reliable the service has been in the last year or so, but my perception is that it has suffered from periods of unreliability in recent years (?), and I assume that there are many delays due to heavy traffic and jams going into and out of Worcester/ Birmingham.
(The "new" Volvo single-deckers should be better able to "catch-up" with the timetables, compared to old DDs).

Also, although I get a lot of "airy-fairy" ideas about new ways of doing "bus things", I don't know how much can be done in the real-world of commercial bus operation (£).
The biggest help to passengers (in my opinion) is a reliable "real-time/ next bus prediction" system, but as I discovered recently, on the "flagship" Malverns service, Worcestershire CC's system is nowhere near good enough yet.

Does anyone know if there is a real-time system for passengers between Rubery and central Brum that will be able to track the green Volvos (and other FMR vehicles) ??

I think the new Salt Road marketing and "new" buses, WILL attract an extra percentage of the travelling public, especially into and out of Britain's highly populous second-city, but I HOPE that the number of occasions when passengers turn-up at a bus stop on-time, and have to wait 20 to 45 mins say, is kept to the bare minimum, otherwise more passengers could be lost than gained.

Q1... It has been talked about but I think (I hope) they have seen sense and decided to keep the route number 144.

Q2... Don't know.

Meanwhile, we now have timetables...
