Raised Roads !

Post by DD12 » 13:07 Monday 23rd April 2018

I know that SOME trees have been removed along New Road, Worcester, where the road is being raised ( - flood alleviation works), but has anyone involved checked for overhead objects that might soon CLASH with the roofs of double-deckers ??
- The same (question) applies to the similar work being done on the road between Upton on Severn, and the A38.

I don't think there'll be any problems on the Upton section, quite a few trees have been taken out before the works even started and it was pretty open land anyway.

Unlike Upton, New Road has only been raised by a few inches and I think that has more to do with the forthcoming new Cricket Ground works than flood defence work.
