Does anyone know of a date for the withdrawal of 33043, please ?
33043 was not working the 07-55 Green Lane to St Peters 32S passed my house this morning, it was a Trident 3340? for the first time in many months. I managed a trip on 33043 into Worcester on Monday morning 17 December - looks as though it might be the last!
I’m pleased to say that I just saw 33043 about 20 miniutes ago heading into Worcester on a service 32! ;)

Equally pleased to see StreetDeck 35157 in Bromsgrove this morning around half nine on a 144a towards Worcester. :)

School services resumed today, and 33043 is still in service in it's usual haunts, including the 32S.

Hmmm, I wonder if it will carry on until February Half-Term!

One of my very first random checks on the "new" tracking facility, this afternoon showed that there was a DD on a journey of my local 32 that's usually a single-decker, and which then goes on to do the 363 from the 6th Form College to Upton.

Although there have been periods in the past when DDs have been used to Upton in the early evening, this is the first time I've seen this one. ( - I would love it to be a regular ! )

Two of the StreetDecks were on the afternoon S2; S3/23, and 33043 appears to be out of service :D

I'm not - its a super bus to drive with fewer rattles that Streetdecks, however 33403 is definitely the best of the rest, had it on Malverns on Saturday morning and enjoyed every second.

I'm not happy as such -- -- the smiling face is because I can only be 50% sure it's finally withdrawn (it's parked with the other withdrawn vehicles, and has some kind of big panel visible in the upper deck).

I'm not happy that there has been another reduction in the number of DDs at WR, and although the paintwork of 33043 has been "grubby" for a long time, it has been a regular on my local 32 service, and is the last of the ex-London examples.
(Younger bus enthusiasts may not realise that there is a very long tradition of ex-London DDs being "cascaded" into the "provinces").

So if First carry on withdrawing old ALX 400’s in the next few years, which I won’t be surprised if they do as most of them are atleast around 18 years old currently and need to be replaced, that would mean we would have to get some new streetdecks to serve the routes that need DD’s.

We need decent vehicles - not StreetLites, StreetMax's or StreetDecks!!!!!!!!
