Excellent news about the 144A set to continue, especially with the route extension to the QE and frequency improvement. I use the 144A a lot and its very popular and increasing in popularity.

I know i'm dreaming but i would love to see NXWM do a 144 all the way to Worcester as a Platinum route.

Brilliant how the the picture on the Worcesteshire website shows an unbranded, ancient Solo with a card in the screen, not even an operating display, and in Evesham to boot! :D

Also brilliant was how Worcestershire County Council supported the 100 year old 144 from Worcester and Birmingham (not) and preferred to give subsidies to a company with virtually no representation in Bromsgrove, allowing First to let the 144 die. If you get stuck in Birmingham without a train in the evening there is no way back to Worcester now except an expensive taxi, or a very long walk.

Also brilliant was the lack of fare offers by First Bus to counter the West Midland cheap journey tickets; why did First spend all the money on dedicated 'Salt Road' branding for buses and bus stop flags but show nothing of this name on the timetables? Same goes for the 'Nimrod' branding!

Although this does not exclusively refer to the 144 and 144a , I have lost track of the number of days this year that the electric time table in Bromsgrove bus station has been 'out of order'. Does anyone want to promote bus travel in Worcestershire ??
