If the 37 is completely withdrawn, I would hope someone thinks to re-route the 36 up the Ombersley Rd and then Coombs Rd to at least serve part of Northwick. The 144 has the Droitwich Rd covered fine.

Just been on the First Bus Worcestershire website and the timetable section is only allowing me to see routes 30, 32 and 34 in current and forthcoming times. If I ask about 144 it says 'not available', presumably the site is partially down whilst the new 1 May 2022 timings and major cuts are added/agreed?

Noted that the 32 will become an hourly service from 1 May 2022! That won't please Mr DD12 and probably means my 37 will be hourly assuming it hasn't been chopped completely!

And I guess that the pen pushers and accountants will say that it saves two buses . :?

Presumably the need for Euro VI buses on the route will cease? This will also aid the finances no doubt.

I second the Charford suggestion, it's always seemed a bit marginalised since the demise of the frequent 93.

Or Diamond Bus might consider running their 52A service through to Birmingham; it is currently scheduled hourly from Alexandra Hospital Redditch to Princess of Wales Hospital Bromsgrove, via Redditch bus station, Bromsgrove railway station, Charford and Bromsgrove bus station. If they cannot provide Euro VI buses, why not run it to Longbridge roundabout or Selly Oak?

Not sure whether to post this in the Along the Salt Road thread but here we go. I have travelled on the 144 to and from various points for many years but today I recorded a "first" by travelling in service on a 144 both up and down the Rubery bypass. On my way to Longbridge I noticed access southbound back onto the A38 from Rubery was denied due to "roadworks" , [ five trucks and two people actually working ]. On my return the road was still closed off so away we go . Up over Whetty Bridge Road and back down and rejoin the A38 northbound opposite where we should have got on , down and over the flyover ,then left into Great Park ,around the island ,much to the amazement of a Kev's driver then back up , right onto the A38 and back the other way on the bypass . I hope someone managed to record this diverion on film ! :)

I was luckier when I did probably my final trip on the northern part of the 144 on Monday. I travelled from Longbridge on the 0925 journey from Birmingham (joining about 15 people or so already on board). The link road to the A38 at the end of Rubery had a notice saying "road closed for 8 days from 11/4/22" but it was still open for us.

On my return journey around 2 pm the link road was closed. I later saw on bustimes.org that 144 journeys from Birmingham were having to go up and down the Rubery bypass twice - sadly there isn't an alternative.

There doesn’t appear to be any 31’s or 37’s. The last bus to Malvern leaves Crowngate at 18.00 and only goes to Morrisons. The last bus to Droitwich and Bromsgrove departs at 18.00. Doesn’t look like I’ll be doing many late finishes now!
I've been searching online for a copy of the new 44 timetable but not found it yet. Are they too scared to tell people? Having the last bus from Worcester to Great Malvern depart at 17:30 seems absolutely ridiculous to me and I want to confirm this is true before I commit to falling on the floor in shock.

It's back in the Forthcoming T-Ts section now Adam, - and I totally agree, -- why bugger-up a service that has proven successful in modern times ?

(I suppose First will claim nobody has been using it after 17.30 !!)

The last Malvern runs at 18.00 and goes to Morrisons only - absolute madness!
