It's a shame that 33404 is not still at Worcester as it would have been nice to use it on the last 144 working . [ Any chance of borrowing a D9 from Wythall ?? ]. :roll: :idea:

NXWM are operating the Bromsgrove to Longbridge part of the 144 route out of Yardley Wood garage from Tuesday (possibly Sunday). They have it for at least a month :shock:

Great news for Bromsgrove, but I hope passengers aren't put off by having to change buses at Longbridge.

Interesting to see the page dedicated to the 144 in the Daily Mail. I also thought that Thatcher’s 1986 Transport Act has had a role to play, as it heralded the start of privatisation, with firms having to make a profit to survive. It also made it illegal to subsidise loss making services with profitable ones. So the rot set in, and we are still suffering the repercussions. Bring back the NBC!

Good news ,at least for the time being. So people who moaned about the 144 being truncated need to use the service from next week . . . . :!:
