The knackered gearbox is now out of 20201 and is waiting to be collected by a company that refurbishes gearboxes... Still we wait!

The gearbox is supposed to be going to a place in Nottingham to be checked to see if its cost effective to repair..... It does need doing really as there is a raft of work lined up for 20202 over the next couple of weeks and a backup is always nice

I do like these old coaches so my fingers are crossed. It would be nice to have a matching pair again.

I don't think there has been any change. I know the gearbox was sat waiting to be collected for ages and it may well still be there. I was planning to ask mechwr26 when I finished work tonight but I completely forgot by the time I got to the garage, and just wished him a good evening as I walked past!

Adam, the gearbox went a couple of weeks ago but apparently it is beyond repair as it needs a new case.

How about the "Big Boss" sending us matching survivor 20207 from Aberdeen?
- that or 20201 could then be cannibalised for parts ;)

20201 was missing from the official First Midlands fleet list on sale at Adderley Green depot open day on Sunday.

I enquired about this coach today and was told the gearbox has been fixed and it is due to return to Worcester tomorrow... I'll believe it when I see it!
