Worcester bus pictures.

Post by TimBrown » 14:04 Saturday 14th December 2019

I travelled into the City this morning hoping to photograph the 'Christmas Streetlite Max', but to no avail. The same thing happened on Tuesday, I saw the illusive bus pass my house and went upstairs for the next bus and it was 33404 working the 37;

It was pouring with rain this morning so I positioned myself on the tower steps in the relative dry and took these shots;

The 'Christmas Streetlite Max' is in the bodyshop after having an argument with the block paving in Crowngate. Apparantly a driver went over the drainage channel in the centre of the bus station, and caught the front bumper on the floor, damaging it severely (the block paving is in a poor state throughout the bus station and plans are being formulated to repair it). When I left work this evening, it was still in the bodyshop, with some repair work having been undertaken on the rear. By the time it gets on the road, Christmas will be over!!!

I wonder if it would be easier to rip the block paving out and tarmac it instead? Or am i being silly?

Thanks BMMO boy for report of 'Christmas Bus' off the road. The block paving in the bus station is in a poor state at the point mentioned and is even worse at the entrance from Angel Place/Street; there are sections with deep potholes that could potentially cause serious injury to pedestrians attempting to cross at this point. The Citaros and 'Salt Road' Volvos sound like a bag of nails here too - surprised the suspension hasn't parted from the main bodywork structure, but I am told it is 'just' the shock absorbers complaining vocally!

It's a shame that it won't be able to see service before Xmas. :(
Maybe it could be turned into a special New Year's bus instead? :lol:

It should be in service before Xmas, but as that is only just over a week away, there won't be much time to collect money for the charity.
