An interesting change of direction for the refurbishment program. It'll be interesting to see an Enviro300 in Urban2.

Well Done First !!
(Us enthusiasts didn't have to wait long for that did we ! :) )

I cannot SEE any rust on the framework, which is "promising" !
- and I wonder if the advert-frames will be mounted down low again (?)

Perhaps a start will be made soon on repainting the VX54 Tridents - (which could be aided by "us" keeping one extra ex-London Trident perhaps).

Don't hold your breath just yet...

66699 was off the road with accident damage a few weeks ago and needed just about every panel down the one side replaced. This would have been a prim candidate to receive Urban2 on repair as the bodywork on that is generally quite poor (ex-Hereford bus, what do you expect :o ) and it would match the three others from the batch that have already been done. Yet the new panels were repainted to standard colours, and now they stick out like a sore thumb as being the only tidy and straight part of the bus!

There are very few liveries in the current First palette that I like in any form. Raspberry and mauve are colours for ice cream or old ladies hair rinses, not buses.

At least some area seem to be going back to local schemes - see Cornwall ;)

Rapid progress is being made on 67647. I understand the body men have been given overtime at the weekend in an effort to get it to the paint shop by Tuesday. Rumour is they want four finished during the six week school holiday... We'll see!

67647 was still parked in the body shop when I finished work tonight, so I guess it didn't make the paint shop on time.

Overtime or not, 67647 still hasn't managed to get to the paint shop. Photograph shows it tonight with 33039 which seems to have picked up some damage to the offside rear wheel arch.

I enquired this afternoon with our number one engineer when 67647 will be on it's way for it's makeover... 'TODAY (FRIDAY) at long f@@kin last' was the reply
