Thanks Tim. It seems odd to me to see them, I just don't associate that type with Worcester but then I guess before I started driving buses I hadn't taken any notice of them for years!

I followed 42893 into the bus station yesterday and there appeared to be a small cloud of smoke chasing it down the road. It will be interesting to see how well it does on the emissions come MOT time.

A very successful trip to Worcester today managed to bash 42893 on the 35 and then managed to get a ride on 42894 on the 33 to. I did notice that 42893 was smoking a bit while I was set on it on layover on Warndon. By the time I had some lunch in McDonalds on Warndon 42893 was the only one left out in service. I also managed to get pictures of each of the 6 Pointers of the batch today MUC on the 294, MUO on the 2L, MUP on the 10, MUU in the depot, MUV on the 35 and JWW on the 33. And to finish off my day of Pointers MUP was on the last 2L to Cleobury Moretimer. Not a brilliant photo I know but I got some better snaps on my main camera which I will try and put on in the next few days.

Already mentioned in the "144" thread, but repeated here as it's relevant to this topic...

There is a rumour that a number of double-deck buses will be moving to Worcester from Leicester for use on Service 144. It is not known which type at the moment, but I believe they will be "quite modern". My guess would be StreetDecks as they are already established in Worcester, in the correct colours, and not very popular in Leicester.

Also on the cards are two coaches to replace 20201 and 20202, which are both quite knackered now. I understand two vehicles have been found, one being C49FT layout and the other being C44FT+Tables...

No timelines have been given for these changes yet.

We're apparently having 12 B7 Volvos from Leicester... These are the 59 plate ones originally from Bristol. They're single deckers. They were rough when they went to Leicester and it will be interesting to see what they're like now. Let's hope they're better than the Darts we had dumped on us recently

It's a good job you've just had a holiday because I think you're going to be busy...
