There are 15 of the 54-reg Enviros at Worcester at the moment... 67650-67664 inc.
...... because the four brand new Wright StreetDeck buses came from Leicester in exchange for four Wright StreetLite Max single deckers when the company received a substantial government grant to trial double deckers on the Malvern services for two years. The two years will be up in November this year, so there might be a case to send the StreetDecks back to Leicester and put the currently unmarked StreetLite Max on the 44 ......

...... SHOCK; - HORROR  !!!

- This is the first mention anywhere (that I've seen) that these DDs are for a two- year trial !
- "Knowing" you, Tim, I expect you are right, but it would be a big blow to me if we were to lose these DDs -
- in my opinion they are often needed on the 44, and when 3 or 4 StreetDecks are available, one or two are sometimes "borrowed" to support the reliability of school/college services
- some of which fit-in quite neatly.

(But, of course, I am biased :) )

So, on this forum, - within a couple of weeks, we have gone from a rumour of extra DDs for the 144, to the possibility of actually losing our first new DDs in 48 years !!

- seems a bit like the current fortunes of national politics and politicians !

I believe Jeremy Corbyn has said he will nationalise the buses -
(but how does he intend to get them through the traffic jams ?)

(I am now going to take an "upper") :)

I would be surprised if the 4 StreetDecks move to Leicester. Since we had ours, Leicester have received an additional batch of 25 examples and they hate them!

Well I was told that these's newer Volvo are apprently surpost to have leather seats and WIFI which the ones at Leicester don't have if memory serves me right they have high back non seat belted seats in the newer style of moquette. In the meantime I have been doing some research and found out that 12 Volvo B7BLE Eclipse 2's are due to be replaced at First Bristol this year they are all currently used on the Bristol Airport Express and due to be replaced by a batch of brand new E200MMCs later in the year. These 12 Eclipse are fitted with high back leather seats which can easily be fitted with seat belts if they haven't already got them.

Is their possibility that these could transfer instead I wonder?

Interesting info, thank you Reece.

In recent years, I believe it has been more likely for one of First's bus companies to receive transfers from within the structural area it belongs to, but there are some big changes taking place in some of the big metropolitan areas like Bristol (I believe).

When and where First draw-up new agreements in these places, they will have probably reviewed their existing vehicles and ordered the new ones needed.
First HQ might decide that new euro 6 engine buses for Bristol should release euro 5 engine buses for anywhere in the country that needs them.

There are up to 22 Volvo B7L single-deckers of 2002, at Leicester/Potteries that First may decide to replace with NEW vehicles over the next year or two,
and so they might have to buy another 12, if FMR is to receive Leicester's 12 x 59-reg Volvo B7RLEs.

Therefore, my BET is on us getting the ex-Bristol ones. :)

Interestingly, there is a photo of an apparently new StreetDeck - 35100, on Flickr (it's in the previous livery however) -
- According to someone on railforums.co.uk, it has experimental or trial features, and is to be tried by several depots, starting with Leicester ! :D

At one point shortly after took delivery of their last batch, Leicester had three vehicles on loan from Wrightbus at the same time, just to cover for the ones off the road being fixed under guarantee... There may be another reason it is there!

My money would be on Leicester getting the ones from Bristol mentioned above by Reece, which in turn will free up the ones already at Leicester to move to Worcester.

Any news on the "new" coaches yet ?? :)
Rumour in the canteen that the deal has fallen through. I'll try and find a more reliable source to confirm if this is true or not.
