I'm not sure about the whole 'spare bus' thing, but that livery is growing on me.

Without prejudice I think the 'spare bus' livery is an unnecessary gimmick adding cost to any repairs with non standard paint when the standard First Bus purple white and blue is such a striking scheme. That said, if the attractive two-tone grey had been utilised with a wider rainbow band it might have served as a dedicated 'Rainbow Rhapsody 35' livery instead of 'Nimrod' as the 35 traverses Rainbow Hill where Sir Edward Elgar spent the last six or seven years of his life at Marl Bank house.

However putting all the marketing money into special liveries on routes that are already doing well beggars belief, when other services are cut to the bone and disappearing in a downward spiral of diminishing patronage - rant over!

True though Tim - the 35 must be the best used route in Worcester surely?

The odd thing to me is the fact there is a running card marked as "Citaro Spare" 🙄

Unbeleiveable! Looks like they should have put them in normal livery after all! 😂😂

Well... I suppose it depends what is actually on the running card... for example if it’s just a couple of journeys at peak times then it’s not too bad but if it’s for all day use on 35’s for example then that’s annoying as it can’t act as an actual ‘spare bus’
