Just for fun! If I had 8 beautiful Citaro's to play with I would open an outstation at Redditch and use them on the 57 / 58 - 5 years after First left Redditch I get the impression they would be welcomed back with opened arms!!!

Sure that's not what's actually going to happen - but if I'm right my prize is to have my face on the back of one of the Citaro's!!

...The Citaros are supposedly to be used on 35's, but as yet, I haven't found out if they will be receiving any special livery.
Five of the six will, the last will be without branding for use as a general bus on any route.

Thanks for the confirmation Adam !!

- I was expecting the rumour to "come to nothing".

We have certainly had a LOT of vehicle changes in the last few years !!

-- Am I right in thinking that it used to be a common sight to see full-size single-deckers on the 35 ? ( - IE the Enviro 300s ?)

The 35 has seen every type of vehicle operated... except double-decks!

I hope they're a decent vehicle and serve the garage well.

Good news - I guess if nothing else it shows a willingness by First to invest in the area. The buses don't have to be new to be decent, especially if they're having a refurbishment programme.

Don't want to put a dampener on the good news but in the light of the recent Astons coach fire, wasn't there a problem with the London Citaros being a bit too combustible or was that just the bendibus variety?

Does anyone know which vehicles they are going to be replacing? Because 12 buses is ALOT... Unless they are also gaining more work... :?
