Latest developments

Latest fleet news - 64012 has been withdrawn, as its MoT is up, and no money will be spent on a vehicle this age to get it through. In its place is 47446, yet another bloody StreetLite, this one from Bath.

Another Citaro in the wars is 64037, which suffered a catastrophic engine failure in Malvern last week. It looks as if it needs a new engine, and will be scrapped.

32646 (I’ve got the number correct this time!) looks like it has been sold for preservation, as seats have been swapped from 36244/5. I am unsure who has purchased it, but a Leicester Heritage Group recently expressed an interest.

As the older StreetLites need to have components replaced, and whilst other components have become "thoroughly run-in", - can they become better, smoother buses for both passengers and drivers ?
:D :?:

Not too sure on that one - I have driven most of the ex-Sheffield ones, and they do go a little better, especially up hills, but they rattle more than our slightly newer ones.
