32646 has bitten the dust, withdrawn today.
Can anyone remember when it arrived at Worcester?

37147 is supposedly a short term acquisition, but there was a discussion in the canteen between a couple of supervisors and drivers regarding Streetdecks. The question was asked if we could do without 35156-9, and have 12 plate Volvos instead. The only problem is the S23, which regularly carry 80 - 90 students (I know, I carried 87 last Friday), and the Volvos capacity is only around 84. Interesting times ahead?

LoL ! - According to the tracker, 32646 is in service today !

It's on the 44 as I type, and therefore should be on the 45 and 32 later -- I shall try and take a look to see if it really is 32646, or whether they have thrown the ticket machine into 37147 !!

Yes, it really is 32646 !

A bit of a clatter coming from the engine compartment, but I've heard worse from a B7TL !!

Please bmmoboy can you ask your contacts if "we" still have the HAY festival work again this year (?)
I thought I heard that there is an age limit for the DDs on this contract work (?)

I was under the impression that we had won the contract for Hay services for a number of years, and that means we will be running them for another 2 or 3 years.

32646 was out and about on 44, 45 and 32 services today, as work was being done on some of the other deckers while it is half term. I followed it as it left at 4.00, and it sounded awful. However, tomorrow is now expected to be its last day.

More news on the StreetDecks - they are definitely going, to be replaced by some 11/12 plate Volvos. However on the down side, the Citaros are on borrowed time, to be replaced by more StreetLites, don’t know where from, or when it is going to happen.

I shall very much miss the StreetDecks, -- I like their styling, and the view from the top deck is good enough if you sit near the front, and they are smooth riding and quieter than some.
However, reliability is crucial for WR's deckers, and the number of times I've seen (on the tracker) that one (or two) is not in service on a weekday morning suggests they are unreliable(?)
Unfortunately, 32641+42 don't appear to be much better, despite their "proper" 9 litre engines, -- maybe mechwr26 will get them all sorted IF he returns.

Having looked on facebook for more than a year now, it appears that replacement engines are needed by far too many StreetDecks, and that they are very expensive and in short supply, which IF true, makes me wonder why First have been buying more new StreetDecks with the same very small 4 cylinder injuns ??

Also, with the large influx of buses in "Olympia" livery, it would be great if Mr Claringbold could repaint them all in a nice new green livery, similar to the Salt Road one !

I hate the "number dyslexia" often found in bus forum posts -- I hate it even more when I do it !!
-- The gentleman who started this thread has renumbered 32644/45/46 to 36244/45/46 and I have renumbered 36241 and 42 to 32641 and 42 !

SORRY about that !!
