In the city today for blood test and to pick up prescriptions and, more by luck than judgement, managed the attached quick shots between buses in Crowngate and Barbourne, Worcester.

Thanks for the photos Tim.

I guess that the last bus running in Worcester with a full-width rear destination screen, would have been around 1967 (?) -
nowhere-near as effective as these though -

- a clean and smart advert for the service !

Well done Tim. I've been sat in an office for two days and haven't seen one of the green machines in service yet.

Hi guys. This green livery, is this something First are rolling out nationally or will it be specific to Worcester? It'd be great if there was a red variation but that's just me being nostalgic and clinging on to Midland Red!

Also, I've seen a Cento bodied Volvo with Worcester City branding on it. Again, is this new, a result of more local branding and colour schemes? Thanks.

A good site to show you all the new and recent, varied First liveries and branding, can be found by Googling -
first buses and coaches flickr -
- some of the "comments" are quite informative.

I would describe our new livery for the 144, as a green version of the "Urban 2", consisting of front/middle/and rear coloured sections.

This is just for the 144 (inc 144A) route. Although I'm sure it wont be long before we see them on other routes

While the base paint scheme is in the same layout as the Urban2 livery, there will be graphics going on at a later date... It's only half-dressed at the moment!

Many thanks for information guys. I saw one of the green buses recently and they look pretty smart in this new colour scheme. Wouldn't it be great if their was a red variation of the Urban 2 livery....though that's just me being nostalgic and pining for a livery to reflect Midland Red history and heritage!
