Double deck rest day.

Post by TimBrown » 14:30 Thursday 30th December 2021

A line up of double-deckers on Padmore Street garage 'patch' not required for service mid-morning on Wednesday 29 December 2021 possibly because of the school holidays and reduced Christmas holiday services; posted with kind permission of Bob Hemming.

Thanks Tim for posting that !

"The other side of the coin" is that 5 double-deckers were used in normal service today, --
-- something that probably wouldn't happen based on passenger numbers, -- but likely due to social distancing (?)

News of 6015 ( - from Mr. "943KHA" ) is that it's soon going to receive a new lower-deck floor.
I doubt that we will ever see it in Worcester again, but - "you never know" !!

6015 will be having a new lower deck floor covering (Treadmaster), the floor itself is fine thanks to the good work done at WR (it was tad bit soft in places, polite word for 'rotten'). Treadmaster isn't cheap as we have just found out with 5767 but Father Christmas left a good donation in the chimney so let's make a good bus even better!
