As a result of the forthcoming service cuts in the Potteries, which will see frequency reductions on some routes, they require larger vehicles for what remains. Therefore in mid-April Enviro300 fleet numbers 67647-67649 will transfer from Worcester to Adderley Green, and in their place Dart fleet numbers 42892-42894 will move from Adderley Green to Worcester.

Those three Darts were superb vehicles before they went north. Let's hope they have been looked after!

Also, as a correction to a previous post (and the fleet list on this site), Solo 53042 did not transfer to Worcester and is still owned by Potteries... It is just being stored at Worcester, the same as Volvo 32057. It is highly unlikely either vehicle will see the road again as both are missing engines.

And on the subject of 32057... Volvo 32056 is withdrawn and stored at Adderley Green. The MOT is valid until August but it is not DDA compliant so it has been SORN and should be going for scrap soon.

I too look forward to the return of these buses.
- I've always liked the Plaxton Pointer bodies, - and I have often wondered if there were any advantages, for operators, in their successors - the Enviro 200s (??)
I see on Flickr that 42893 received the latest "3-part" livery, some time ago, albeit with a pale blue front section -
It will be interesting to see if it arrives at Worcester with a purply-pink-cerise front !

I was talking about this with "Red Midland" last night... It is my understanding that the first two will arrive during the second week in April, but the third will be about a week later. We were wonderinf if that is to give Stoke time to repaint the front of the blue one into Worcester colours?

I have no idea if this is the reason, but it would be logical.

- is that because you expect to have to do a lot of work on them, to bring them up-to-scratch ??

I put the same question to him when I finished tonight, and yes, he expects to be busy when they arrive due to a short MOT. He also used a selection of 4-letter words to describe the engine type used in them. And the gearbox. And the kingpins...

You get the picture!

On the othe hand, these are the only Dats I have ever liked. All the other ones I have driven have been terrible to drive, but this batch were superb.
