Re: Diesel locomotives at Shrub Hill

Excellent stuff. Wish we still had the 37s down here - some excellent footage on Youtube but it's not the same!

Re: Shrub Hill canopy refurbishment.

Just another great example of non-joined up thinking on the railways Tim!
I'm not against privatisation per se, but the current system seems to have been designed simply to frustrate normal people!

Re: 69002 & 69001 on Charter.

I believe it was a points failure at Plymouth, I had planned to catch them on Lostwithiel station but ended up on the usual overbridge near my house due to lack of time. Managed to post the same pictures twice though

At the other end of the journey - apologies for the poor quality of these photos; I took them in a rush after my carefully planned day went to hell! 47s first, followed by 69s.

Re: Worcestershire On Demand (June 2023)

The noticeboard outside Welland shop has fairly extensive information on this service, so at least it looks like there has been some effort to get it promoted.

Great stuff Tim. Got to love a 33!
Rode behind 33002 'Sea King' today on the South Devon Railway, was in fine form!

Re: 60103 Flying Scotsman passes Bredicot

Quick internet search reveals the turntable is back in operational order - only by hand at present, but better than nothing!

Re: 60103 Flying Scotsman passes Bredicot

I might go out and see this tomorrow Tim but weather not supposed to be too good. I was under the impression Scotsman would be turned at Plymouth and then hauled to Par on the back of the train by a diesel, but I was told yesterday that the St Blazey turntable is back in use again. Watch this space!...
