I don't think Amazon are overly generous (ask their staff!).
Although it's tempting, I avoid using them now. When they have driven what's left of the competition out of business, up will go their prices so in the end, we're no better off.

Re: Worcester area train times from 23 March 2020.
Some photos on Facebook of serious overcrowding on some commuter trains into Bham this morning. Maybe some shouldn't have been there (are they all essential workers??) but as there are fewer trains, surely they should have been longer. They can't use the 'not enough carriages' argument with fewer tr...

Re: Concessionary Passes in Worcestershire
The Times On Line reports that National Express (coaches) are going to be running to their Christmas timetable and that National Express West Midlands will be running on weekdays to its Sunday timetables. All this I would think is unprecedented since the second World War.

Re: Concessionary Passes in Worcestershire
Good news indeed,. It'll be interesting to see what impact the current Coronavirus situation will have on public transport. I passed Bromsgrove railway station this afternoon when the car park would usually be almost full. Today I was quite surprised to see that it was barely 10% occupied so I guess...

Re: Gold Cup Special at Shrub Hill 13 March 2020.
I believe the passengers are conveyed by coach from Evesham to Broadway or Toddington and complete their journey to Cheltenham Racecourse on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway. I was old that two trains from Toddington ran each day with a third today running from Broadway, being Gold...

Thanks for recording this shameful sçene of perfectly good rolling stock on its way for scrap whilst the likes of Cross Country are running trains with severely inadequate capacity on a regular basis. The HSTs may be elderly but they are still more comfortable than much of the modern stock that they...

Re: Buses serving Norton Parkway
It is shocking how badly advertised this has been. So poor. This may be because the station opening date has been on and off for months now and we only found out when it would be opening about a fortnight ago. I must admit that it was unexpected that the bus working X50 yesterday Sunday 23 February...

New Road Shuttle Bus
I see that Astons are running the County Council sponsored free shuttle bus from St Johns to Worcester City Centre following the closure of the river bridge and New Road to all but the shuttle bus. Sadly, the raising of New Road to avoid the flooding doesn't appear to have worked but this does seem ...

Re: World Shattering Announcement
Perhaps it would be a good idea if somebody was to officially announce exactly how prospective rail passengers can get to and from the new station!

Re: World Shattering Announcement
Sunday, 23rd February seems to be the new opening day for Worcestershire Parkway station. We'll see!
