This "spare bus" livery is certainly an unexpected development ! My records show there were around 8 "spare" buses at WR for several months ( to cover for servicing , breakdowns, accident damage, and similar) -- up until the service cuts that was, -- -- could we end up with more ...

No need on the 417 as most of the Seasonal Workers have gone home for the winter. I ran the morning 418 today (it’s last day) and only carried 3 people.

It's half-term week just about to start, so I expect to see plenty of DDs turning-up on the 30, 32, and 144A, but if anyone sees a DD on the X50 or 417, please give me a SHOUT ! (The 417 won't be able to serve Cradley next Monday to Thursday, so you "never know", but what with inter-workin...

As the AM S4 has recently become a single-decker ("overloaded"), and, as Adam has recently told us there is a "desperate" shortage of DDs at WR, I feel the need to post the following :- The 8 older DDs are needed in the AMs, (Mon-Fri, school-term), as follows :- D1 - X50 D2 - S45...

…… Shame they don't drive so well anymore. I had 33404 a few days ago and it is starting to feel like a pre-war bus to match the livery!

….. is 66699 ! Just came back from Upton on this, and three times the front end made an incredibly loud explosive noise as it hit bumps in the road. The third time, the driver got out to inspect it ! You would never guess it was a Volvo from the inside ( - shock absorbers shot to buggery I'd guess !)
