Re: Lovely Lamposts or Tidier Stations?
Makes no sense at all though but is infuriating to regular passengers who are getting a pretty rotten service of late. Shrub Hill of course has suffered from years of neglect and needs lot spending on it. Bromsgrove is brand new and just doesn't need attention at the moment so pity they can't spend ...

Re: New Salt Road Events
But nothing that I have seen in the local press, either before or after. Shouldn't think too many of the locals read Bus and Coach Week. Seems like an opportunity missed.

Lovely Lamposts or Tidier Stations?
I notice that, although the lamps are still quite new, West Midlands Trains have been repainting dozens of lampposts in and around Bromsgrove railway station in their company colours. Actually, the orange on the posts looks much better than the awful yucky yellow livery on their trains but you do ju...

Re: Another bus fire.
I see the bus was in Tanhouse Lane, Redditch and that the fire in the engine was 'out on arrival' so probably no great harm done.

Re: Another bus fire.
I see Redditch firefighters were called out at around 6.30 this morning to a bus fire. The report didn't actually say that it was a Diamond bus........

Re: "along the Salt Road" !
Does that mean there are green buses elsewhere once again making a point that route branding isn’t worth it, esp. if they don’t stick to route! ;) Is there any evidence that it is actually worth doing- in terms of increased passenger numbers? As others have said, surely what they need is a comforta...

Just hope that if the Tories are re-elected they don't pull a similar fast one on bus operators that they did on the BBC when they got them to fund the over 75s free TV licences! I'm just amazed they seem to be getting away with it.

Re: Autumn Highlander Charter 27 Sep. 2019
Thanks, as always Tim, for these pictures. I'd love to go on one of these weekend Scottish excursions but they are very expensive, although they seem to get booked up quickly. I agree with your comments about the exhaust emissions from most classes of railway locos and DMUs and the double standards ...

Re: October changes
I'd be interested to hear more about just how much Worcs CC subsidises the concessionary journeys. I seem to recall reading in Cornwall, it had dropped to less than 60p so if it is still around £1.20 in Worcestershire, they would seem to be doing quite well. Austerity is supposed to be over now, so ...
