Re: Further media coverage about Worcesters diminishing bus services

Here is link to some of Worcester news reader's responses; https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/17986910.readers-back-councillors-fight-restore-weekend-bus-service/ The comment about bus passes is relevant, because the majority of passengers are retired and on limited pension income. I have always t...

Re: FMR: Refurbs and Repaints

Can anyone tell me why it seems that First are putting money into branding and repaints in some areas, yet some are being cut to nothing? I appreciate some routes will always be more profitable than others, but would it not be better to lose the costs of brandings and associated marketing and maybe...

Re: Further media coverage about Worcesters diminishing bus services

In tonight's Worcester News, there is an article with residents of the Bevere area complaining about the reduction in services. Articles like this have been published before but this one is different - I actually recognise most of the people in the photograph as being regular passengers! (including...

Here is a possible breakthrough, a revolutionary aluminium-air battery invented by a Cornish Naval Engineer. The attached link is worth a read; interested to hear your comments!

Re: Worcester Saturday 19 Oct. 2019.

Nice photos as always Tim! I used the 303 a couple of times last week and loadings were good over the entire length of the route. Good mix of full fares and pass holders. I was just walking back from the shop this morning and there were 4 people waiting at the Canterbury Road bus stop for a 38 into...

Re: Worcester Saturday 19 Oct. 2019.

I was in Crowngate today when I met my son on his lunch break... shame I missed you. Ships that pass in the night! It was a last minute decision to travel into Crowngate; the main intention was to see if the locals were actually using the Diamond 303 because I requested a full-sized bus for Saturda...

Worcester Saturday 19 Oct. 2019.

I went into Crowngate on the Diamond 303 from the New Inn at 09-14 and the bus picked up four passengers which means that those who used the now defunct Saturdau 37 service are still travelling into town. The next 303 which I caught back out of town brought a good load into Crowngate including some ...

Re: October changes

Prior to 13 October 2019 the 37 at 09-30 am from Green Lane to Crowngate carried a very good load of passengers, mainly pensioners on concessionary passes and it was often full and standing in a Citaro by the time it reached Barbourne. This week the replacement service operating at 09-18 am has not ...
