Re: Public Enquiry

Not to appeal would mean the management accepting that something is wrong. Diamond is brilliant, as is its management...….. ;) Thanks Noggin for all your recent (intelligent) comments and observations -- it's of great value to me when people like yourself contribute to this forum, and have "th...

Re: Public Enquiry

Local radio say today that Diamond are to make an appeal in this case. :P , That's confirmed on today's "Route One" -- -- I think that they are "sticking their neck out, a bit !! Maybe they want to find-out just how much they can get away with ! I wonder now, if Rotala will try to se...

Re: Bus Fest Gaydon 19 August 2018 four

Another very enjoyable selection of photos, thanks Tim. I like the photo of the trio of Bristol ECW coaches from the 1960s, and although I've never been a fan of the styling or "execution" of the body styling, I guess that the build quality was, and is, very good. Recently, when I saw our ...

Re: Autumn 2018 service changes/cuts

I'm not sure how official this is. The County Council still subsidises quite a number of services and I thought Councillor Amos was the one who was in charge of that area. This seems to be almost a deal done between First and two councillors. Councillors do each have a pot of money from the County ...

Elgar's last home before he died was on the 35 route, on the site that is now Elgar Court (clue is in the title). Although he would have used Service W5 as it was then!
WOW ! -- I'm impressed Adam !!

(Did he know all the conductors ?)

Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions

The "Employee Director" was at Crowngate canteen on Thursday and said that the Citaros will be painted in "Elgar" livery for Worcester services, he was however, not able to give details of the colours or scheme. I'm not sure that ELGAR would have liked to go to Warndon ! ;) (And...

Re: FMR Mercedes Citaro acquisitions

Now that service cuts are due, I'm wondering how many (if ANY) of these will actually materialise ! So far, on flickr, I haven't seen any photos of these at Thorntons (etc) - BUT, the planned service cuts might help release capital for the work to begin, if it hasn't already (?) (I think Adam may ha...

Re: Autumn 2018 service changes/cuts

Thanks again Tim, for the info above. The original plans that I saw a few years ago, were for that narrow gap in the hedge opposite the exit of Bevere Close, to be a "bus-gate" into the new estate. In support of that, the developers also had to provide a "swept-path analysis" rep...
