Re: D9 5415 calls in Crowngate 11 April 2010.
Yes, it has been through a variety of owners in the Liverpool area, it is still currently in Class VI test. Most of its maintenance has been done by a good independent repairer in the Liverpool area. I've been up there once or twice to help put with specialist knowledge and a supply of vital spare p...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall and COVID19
We will miss your (and many others) company on Open Days. It is thanks to all our visitors that the place really comes alive. The 'hatches are now battened down' and there remains a small band of volunteers on site most days carrying on the restoration and other good works. Sadly since most of our v...

Re: £5 billion boost for bus industry announced today.
Hope you did not get a 'shock', we are still awaiting their final connection prior to opening for the Season! All part of our carbon offsetting scenario to try and convince BCC that we do take some of these pollution matters seriously.....

Re: Flooding Feb. 2020
Good to see some excellent team work yesterday in St Nicholas Street WR in trying to sort out arrivals and departures with Crowngate closed. Also pleased to have an impromptu meeting there with Nigel E (masquerading as 'Controller??) and had an erudite discussion regarding air change vs electric cha...

Or they could even run CM6T's down the M5 on the X44; now that 5656 is back in action it might just do that next summer.................

Re: October changes
Still one of the best retro liveries ever, hard to believe that it was five years ago this week that it was unveiled at Worcester Racecourse. I'll be sad to see it go. Next retro livery should be a saloon in Midland Red West colours, Mr Eggleton I can lend you 544 as a pattern if you need it...

Re: DD12 Revival
Yes, had a surprise and welcome visit from Mech26wr and his good lady today at Wythall, my first day back after a two week holiday and the usual pandemonium had set in during my absence. Nice to see some good progress from Mech26wr and his team courtesy of Nigel E. One by one the little bits are all...

Re: Worcester Fleet Movements mid/late 2019
Hopefully the D10 will be ready by then, at the moment a large hole needs to be covered in the lower saloon floor (which was a little 'soft' anyway) where yours truly effected some overdue engine repairs without taking the engine / gearbox out. Then the retrimming can be completed. Still my all time...

Re: Worcester Fleet Movements mid/late 2019
I hope that there is an error re the dates for a Midland Red event at Wythall! This year's October event is 50 years of WMPTE (and you could say that was partly responsible for the demise of Midland Red??) and next year is another celebration of Midland Red, for which we hope that 6015 will be one o...
