Maybe the community could run their own bus service??
This is just the type of thing the fund is set up for, so why not?

Is anyone here going to the meeting tonight? I'm still undecided... I need a date!

Re: BMMO Service 422 Question

Thanks for that. My earliest timetable for the area is October 1955 and there is no mention of changing buses, but looking at the times it is obvious to me as someone "in the trade" that they would have to. I wonder how the general public who had no interest in schedules would have coped i...

Re: Large Rail Contract Oct 2016 - Buses on Loan

Just called in the Commercial office to find out, and yes. Bromsgrove to Longbridge and Bromsgrive to Droitwich. Starting on 26th and lasting for 2 weeks.

Sounds like a big contract as it requires 13 drivers and FIVE double-decks on loan... one from Stoke, one from Leicester and three from Bristol :)

BMMO Service 422 Question

While looking at the Service 420 timetable at Knightwick when I discovered the newspaper cutting of the new bridge ( link to forum post ) I noticed Service 422 which was advertised as running between Leominster, Bromyard, and Worcester. However, when I looked at the times I noticed it ran as Service...

Service 420 - Knightsford Bridge bypass

Found this newspaper cutting on the internet. It came from Berrows News and is dated 18th July 1958. It shows the building of the new part of the A44 that bypassed the village at Knightsford Bridge near Knightwick. The road was built to provide a new bridge as the old one was thinking about falling ...

Large Rail Contract Oct 2016 - Buses on Loan

Withdrawn Trident 33039 has been moved from it's home on death row at the bottom of the patch and is now indoors. It is to be re-instated and used and a pending Rail Replacement contract. I understand it will be joined by two other double-decks from elsewhere, which I'm guessing will be on loan.

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

A Potteries Volvo was towed into Worcester tonight. Don't know which one it is as it's been a long day and I couldn't be bothered to walk over and look!

Re: The 382 - Public meeting

I don't really think there is any call for any extra buses at the moment. Maybe one around lunch time for people going shopping etc, but before September they had one at 1205 and it was often empty, so there isn't a demand for it.

Re: BaMMOT 30 years of WMPTE 09 Oct 2016 part one

Surely it should be called 30 years since the end of WMPTE? Or maybe 30 years of Travel West Midlands?

Either way, nice photos!
