Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

Hi, yes it's here to have some engine work done but it's in a queue at the moment as we're rather short staffed. Recently finished overhauling the engines on 66692 and 69450, an engine swap from 64021 into 64030, a gearbox swap on 64012, sorting a long term overheating and air pressure problem with ...

Re: D9 5035 history

Mike Some two or three years go there was a video on Youtube featuring an OT D9 with a band playing upstairs, complete with piano and rumoured to be in Herefordshire / Wales. The identity of the D9 was difficult because of its transcription from cine to video. It was found via a fairly obscure link...

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

Yes I'm back for 6 months or so. Was good to see Adam and Jeremy, thanks both for popping in. 37261 is here after a major engine failure but alas the cost of the parts to put it right is getting close to the price for a Volvo recon unit so an new engine is on its way. Shame really as I have not buil...

Re: 42892 and its replacement.

Yep she's finished with unfortunately. The replacement bus needs an engine, all the brake shoes replacing and a set of spring bushes. We've got most of an engine which we pulled out of storage tonight and I seem to recall that it's a good one. The engine and box is out of the baby Dart ready to swap...

Re: 6015

Hi Kim, she sailed through a class 6 MOT with flying colours. My conductor kept the ministry man busy throughout the test. The examiner was an ex Bournemouth bus mechanic and grew up working on fleetlines back in the 70s. It drives really well and sounded lovely pulling up Bath road. We've got it at...

That colour looks very tame for one worked on by JC. I was expecting to see it painted bright green or something similar.
The Gardner would look awesome in purple... but I'm sure JP would dissaprove almost as much as my suggestion that the bus would make a good camper 😉

Re: 6015

Thanks for posting the photo Tim -- it's rather ironic that 6015 has been here at WR for quite a long time now, but hardly ever on "the patch", -- but that's a good thing in that it's been protected from the elements, and hasn't attracted vandals !! - MOT next week IF they can get the pla...

I used to love visiting EM garage !
I used to love working there!
Me too! I spent a lot of time at Evesham when they had no mechanics or covering holidays. Loved it there
